For the longest time I have said that it's a good idea for a person to weigh themselves every morning while on the HCG Diet Program. This gives you an accurate account of exactly how much weight you lose during your round.

But what if you only lose a few ounces -- or even worse you lose no weight at all, what happens then?

Because those of you who have done this diet before know that this is not only a possibility, but it's very likely that this will happen to everyone at one time or another. 

But Can Not Losing Weight Actually Cause You To Gain?

Yes, it can! But how?

Basically it's because of how demotivating it is for a person to step on the scale and see that the numbers are exactly the same as the day before. This can cause some people to feel that things are completely hopeless; which in turn causes them to cheat.

But usually people won't cheat the first time they don't lose -- It's after being on a plateau for a couple of days that people tend to get most discouraged.

What you have to remember is, not losing weight for a few days throughout the coarse of your round is completely normal. It's what you do during those few days that can make all the difference.

For example, you could use one of the many different plateau breakers that were specifically designed for this problem. The most popular of which is probably the HCG Apple Day, which consists of eating only six apples within a 24 hour period.

Not only is an Apple Day good for kick-starting your weight loss, but it's also a good way to get you motivated psychologically, and to help you keep your head in the game.

Hopefully knowing this will help all of you be a little less discouraged if and when you do hit the dreaded Plateau.
