    • Shrimp

All visible fat should be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. The chicken breast must be removed from the bird.

You are NOT allowed to have:

    • Salmon

You can use the juice of 1 whole lemon per day in any way you'd like. If you want to use half before lunch and the other half before bedtime, that's okay.

Seasonings:
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • vinegar
  • mustard powder
  • garlic
  • sweet basil
  • parsley
  • thyme
  • marjoram

Most seasonings may be used on the 500 Calorie Diet. But no oil, butter, or dressing.

Beverages:
  • Tea
  • coffee
  • plain water
  • mineral water

These are the only drinks allowed. However, you can have them in any amount whenever you'd like. In fact, you should drink at least 2 liters or more of these liquids every single day.

Some people are afraid to drink a lot of fluids because they are afraid that it may cause them retain more water. This is completely wrong, the body is actually more inclined to store water when you are not drinking enough fluids.

Using Fruit or Grissini-Breadstick/Melba-Toast For a Snack:

  • The fruit or the Grissini-Breadstick/Melba-Toast may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner. But you cannot have more than the four items listed for lunch and dinner at one meal.

Medicine and Make-up:

No medicine or cosmetics other than...
  • lipstick
  • eyebrow pencil
  • powder
  • Bare Minerals

These are the only cosmetics that you should use on this VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet). If you do not see something listed, it probably should not be used. Unless you have been told otherwise by your doctor.

Preparing your protein:
  • Your 100 grams of meat must be weighed raw after all of the visible fat has been removed. To do this accurately, you should use a digital scale.

Breaking up your meals:
  • If you would like, you can remove anything from your meal. There is also no objection to breaking up your 2 meals.

For example: You might have a breadstick and an apple for breakfast or after dinner, just as long as you deduct it from your lunch or dinner.

However, you may not eat 2 Breadsticks or 2 Fruits at the same time and you should never save any portion of food to eat the following day.

Keep in mind that 2 small Apples, do not equal one large Apple. So no matter how big or small the Apple might be, it still counts as 1 Apple.
And remember, you are allowed to have Chicken Breast - This does not mean a wing or a drumstick.

Some people think that it's okay to start making up their own 500 Calorie Diet Protocol as they go along ... Those people are wrong! Stick to the plan and you will see great results.
