Did You Order Hucog HCG, But Get Something Else?

    So once again Suzy is doing the HCG Diet to lose a little more weight. This time, as she has done every other time, she ordered Hucog High Purity HCG ... So she thought!

    When she was placing her order she was 100% sure that she clicked on Hucog - But when it arrived the label said something completely different ... It read ZY-HCG.

    Now my opinion is that most HCG is created equal, remember, I said most. However, 3 days into the diet Suzy is completely drained of energy and starving.

    The question is, does she feel this way because she knows it's not the brand she normally uses, or is it because it really is low quality HCG?

    We all know that with any diet, including the HCG Diet, a big part of it is psychological - But after doing the diet a few different times you'd think she'd know her own body by now, and she does. On the other hand it could simply be a bad batch of HCG, that can and does happen. The good news is she ordered more than one vial - And the chances of them all being bad are slim to none; if that is in fact the case.

    But after making a phone call we were told that Hucog is no longer available through their company - However, they assured us that the brand they had sent us was just as good. Hmmm.

    Furthermore, they said that they would be happy to give us a full refund. Still, they should have just sent us what we ordered in the first place, and if they couldn't we should have been asked if we would like to try they're substitute brand.

    In case you were wondering, the reason I am not naming this company specifically is because I don't want to try to put anyone out of business and they have been great in the past! Plus, this could happen with any company.

    Now I do know that there was a shortage of certain brands of HCG throughout the month of March.

    But Hucog is still available, right? Yes, through certain companies.

    However, try not to get too hung up on the brand names ... That may have a huge impact on your mindset toward how well the diet is going to work for you.

    NOTE: I almost always recommend using Nu Image Medical because I know that they only use High Purity HCG. They actually have an HCG purity report on their website that will show you the high level of HCG that they use.

    Should You Be Eating Before You Work Out, Or After?

    After the HCG Diet you will have a new body to maintain - Working out is a great way to keep your weight and improve your shape. But to do that you will want to make sure you are doing it the right way.

    A few days ago a friend of mine had brought a great point to my attention...

    Should You Be Eating Before You Work Out, Or After?

    Well here is a pretty good rule to go by.

    If you are waiting more than 45 minutes to do your workout after you eat, then you should be eating a full meal.

    However, if you are on a time crunch and are going to work out less than 45 minutes after you eat … make sure to have a light low calorie protein snack to fuel your body and eat a healthy well balanced meal after you work out to help you muscles

    Examples for pre-work out snacks:

    Greek Yogurt
    Apples w/ peanut or almond butter
    Cottage Cheese
    Cheese (babybel cheese is small and ready to go)

    Post work out meals:

    Grilled or broiled chicken or fish and veggies with seasonings and a teaspoon of olive oil
    Sweet potato
    Stuffed peppers
    Turkey Wrap
    Cobb Salad

    Remember, these tips are not for you to use during the 500 Calorie Diet or Maintenance. This will be after you complete the diet and are in the LIFE Phase.

    HCG Treat: Apple Fruit Rollups

  • Surprisingly Better Than Store Bought Fruit Roll-Ups -- And Healthier Too!

    HCG Fruit Roll Ups I remember when I was a kid and my mom would pack Fruit Roll-ups in my lunch every once in awhile - It was always such a delicious and healthy treat ... So I thought.

    After having a couple kids of my own I started paying more attention to labels. That's when I realized that the store bought Fruit Roll-Ups really don't contain much fruit at all. In fact, they contain 2% or less of any Natural Flavors - They actually put it right on the label.

    Unfortunately this means that they are not good to eat while on the HCG Diet. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a tasty Fruit Roll-Up, or Fruit Leather as they are sometimes called. It does mean however, that if you want a delicious yet healthy Fruit Roll-Up you will simply have to make it yourself.

    Honestly, it really is easy to do. Below I have posted a simple to create recipe for Apple Fruit Roll-Ups, aka Apple Fruit Leather.

    Apple Fruit Roll-Ups

    Here's what you'll need:

    4 Cups - Apples (Peeled, Cored and Chopped)
    1 Tablespoon - Lemon Juice
    1 to 2 Tablespoons - Stevia
    1 Teaspoon - Cinnamon
    1/2 Cup - Water


    1. Wash, peel, core and chop apples and place them into a medium saucepan.
    2. Add in the 1/2 cup of water and bring to a simmer.
    3. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes or until soft.
    4. Add Stevia, Cinnamon and Lemon Juice, then mash like you would if you were making mashed potatoes.
    5. Cook approximately 3 more minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
    6. Place mixture into a blender and puree until smooth.
    7. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
    8. Pour Apple mixture onto lined baking sheet and spread into a thin layer evenly with a wooden spoon.
    9. Bake at 170 degrees for 2 or 3 hours or until it’s tacky but doesn’t stick to your finger.

    NOTE: I always like to throw in a couple of Strawberries to mix things up a bit.

But I would have to say without any doubt that the most popular posts would have to be the ones with HCG Diet Recipes -- which doesn't surprise me in the least. I know first hand how hard it is to eat the same foods day after day with no variation.

    The first time Suzy and I did the HCG Diet we never really explored the option of creating HCG Recipes with the food that we were allowed to have. And to be completely honest I don't know if it would have done much good - Back then the HCG Diet was just starting to become popular again, so there wasn't much information available online about the diet; least of all HCG Recipes. This of coarse was our motivation behind starting the HCG 411 Blog.

    The thing is, when you have a variety of different ways to create your food it makes the diet much more bearable. And if you think about it, there really is a lot of potential to create some great dishes even with the small selection of foods on the HCG Food List.

    So why am I going on and on about HCG Diet Recipes?

    Well in recent months I've noticed a wonderful trend on one of the world's most popular social media networks, and that trend is recipe sharing - More importantly, the sharing of HCG Diet Recipes.

    And with the power to reach people all over the world, social media really is great for this type of thing.

    So what social media site has an endless supply of HCG Recipes? The site I'm referring to is Pinterest!

    Now for those of you that don't currently use Pinterest, the way it works is when you visit a website or blog and you see a picture or an article that you like you can "Pin It" to Pinterest.

    What this does is it posts the photo along with a short description and a link back to that particular article, blog post or recipe. These "Pins" are then separated into categories called "Boards", by the user who is creating the Pin.

    Then, everyone that you have connected with through Pinterest will be able to see your "Boards" and "Pins" on your user page - Those people will then be able to visit that particular site to view that same article, or in this case the HCG Recipe that you have Pinned.

    And because there are so many HCG Dieters using Pinterest these days, there's always a wide variety of HCG Recipes being shared across the site. This basically means that there is a never ending supply of HCG Recipes. Now the only thing you have to do is go find them - The good news is that Pinterest makes this little task very easy to do. By having the user select a category and a name for each Board and Pin that they create, it makes it easier to find by doing a simple search.

    Trust me, go to Pinterest and do a search for HCG recipes. Before you know it you will have more recipes than you can handle.

    So if you truly want to spice up your diet journey with some new HCG Approved Recipes, then you need to give Pinterest a try. Oh wait, I almost left out the best part, Pinterest is completely FREE to use!

    One Way To Experience Lasting Success With The HCG Diet

  • Doing This One Simple Thing Can Help Ensure That You Experience Lasting Weight Loss Success After HCG!

    Happy On The ScaleMost of the things we do in life is a direct result of what we have lived and learned. From the moment we are born and even through adulthood, most habits that we pick up are gradually obtained over time. How we eat and the relationship that we have with food is no exception.

    Whether it's what we learned from our parents, or a problem we developed all on our own, the way we eat is one of the hardest habits to break.

    However, if you can overcome just one of these main habits you will drastically increase your chances of success.

    So what is this simple thing that can be such a huge game changer?

    One important thing that will help keep you from gaining back the weight after HCG is simply eating up until the point that you are satisfied - It really is as simple as that. So this means smaller portions and rarely going back for seconds.

    If you ask me, and a lot of people often do, this bad habit probably accounts for 75% of diet failures.

    But doesn't it seem that eating until you virtually can't eat any more is not something that we were born with, but rather something that we've learned.

    When my two older children were toddlers, I would always look at them and think that they were never eating enough. But knowing what I know now, I think that babies are better than adults at regulating how much they eat. The reality is it is us as parents that teach them to eat more and more. So over time that is what they come to know. The problem with that is, we are going by today's standards of how much food is really enough to satisfy us.

    But you can't really blame us for thinking that either - Take a look at fast food restaurants for example, not only is most of the food that they offer extremely fattening and unhealthy, their attempts to give it to you in mass quantities are basically made mandatory by the higher ups.

    I'm not even going to go into the different ingredients that they put into food to cause you to become addicted to it. I know it all sounds like a big conspiracy theory but it's true.

    So avoid eating out as much as humanly possible too. Because that coupled with the myth that people can eat anything they want after the HCG Diet ends is just a recipe for failure.

    Believe me when I tell you that retraining yourself to eat until you are satisfied and not stuffed like a Thanksgiving Turkey can be a lot harder than it may seem. But if you have been successful in sticking to the HCG 500 Calorie Diet Plan, you are already well on your way to slaying this dragon.

    Here Are A Couple Of Tricks To Overcoming Your Old Eating Habit:

    Although it can be helpful with certain foods, counting calories really isn't necessary.

    The trick is to eat just until the point of feeling satisfied. Eventually after eating smaller portions over time your body will adjust. And because you have been eating such a small amount of food with the HCG VLCD, as long as you don't go right back to your older ways, it should be easier than if you hadn't done the diet at all.

    So simply choose to eat smaller portions and honestly it is almost never needed to go back for seconds.

    Another trick is to close your eyes while eating. This allows you to let your body tell you when you are through rather then eating until your plate is clean - Although this may seem a little on the extreme side it works really well.

    But remember, even though these tricks may be helpful, in the end it really comes down to you making the change -- And before you know it your mind and body will be on the same page.

    Peer Pressure To Cheat On The HCG Diet

    Peer Pressure To Cheat On Your HCG DietWhile on the HCG Weight Loss Diet, or any other diet for that matter, the urge to cheat can sometimes be hard to resist.

    Although your appetite is much smaller than you would think it should be on this Low Cal Diet, you will still have to fight the urge to eat all of the unhealthy foods that you have been living on up until this point.

    But what makes the temptation even harder is when you constantly have family, friends, or coworkers tempting you all the more.

    I mean it's bad enough that you are eating a mere 500 Calories per day - But when you're surrounded by people eating delicious treats in front of you, maybe offering you a bite of their forbidden food, or bad mouthing your diet regimen, it makes it that much harder to continue on without a slip up.

    So if people know that you are on a diet and trying to better yourself, why would they want to temp you?

    They don't know any better: Some people just don't understand how hard it is to give up junk food. So while these people may be somewhat offensive and inconsiderate, most of the time they just don't know any better.

    Jealousy: Then there are those people who are simply jealous and want nothing more than to see you to fail. For some reason it makes them feel better when others feel bad about themselves. So the last thing they want is for you to lose weight and have more confidence in yourself.

    But the thing to remember is that no matter where the peer pressure is coming from the temptation to cheat can be a one way ticket to failure if you give in.

    So what can we do to combat peer pressure?

    1. To help with those people who just don't know any better then to temp you, you can simply forewarn them that you are going to be on a strict diet and that you will need lots of help to stick with it. Then after you start, maybe throw out a reminder from time to time that you are on the diet and doing well. This way they will be less likely to offer you a piece of cake at the next office Birthday party.

    2. Now for those people who want nothing more than to see you fail, the best thing you can do is simply stay strong. Because if they can get you to slip up just once, they won't stop until you completely abandoned your diet altogether. On the other hand if you don't give in to their attempts to knock you off track, they will likely give up after they see that they're not going to keep you from reaching your goals.

    Either way, when you are trying to make a life change like this, you are going to hit a few bumps in the road. So the next time peer pressure rears its ugly head, just remember, you are on a mission - A mission to become a skinnier and healthier version of you!

    Life After HCG: Eat What You Want When You Want

  • After Resetting Your Hypothalamus And Retraining Your Metabolism, Can You Really Eat All Of The Foods You Want With No Worry?

    Eating Dessert On HCG DietIn my many years of researching and writing about the HCG Diet, I have read a number of different HCG Protocols - And one of the many things I've noticed is that all of these protocols claim that theirs is the best one to follow. The only trouble is, a handful of these protocols make some pretty outrages claims.

    In fact, one of the most well known HCG Protocols in the world, which was written by Kevin Trudeau, and is mostly responsible for breathing new life into the HCG Diet has a few unbelievable suggestions for HCG Dieters.

    On the other hand, some of the claims that may sound a bit unreal are actually 100% true. The trouble with that is, it makes it harder for people to know what claims or true and which ones are not.

    One claim that is made in a few different HCG Protocols is that you are able to eat what you want when you want after the HCG Diet ends.

    It's true, certain protocols state that after resetting your Hypothalamus and retraining your body's metabolism you will be able to eat any foods that you want because you will be cured of obesity.

    But is this right?

    To be completely honest with you, the answer is ... sort of.

    Let's think about this for a second -- Whether you started the HCG Diet because you have been battling obesity your whole life, or you just gained an extra 15 pounds during the holidays, either way you likely found it hard to lose weight on your own or with any other diet.

    This means that after you do the HCG Diet, if you did things right, you will have successfully reset your Hypothalamus and retrained your Metabolism - At this point you should have also learned how to have a healthier relationship with food; smaller portion sizes, eating only when you are hungry and not just bored, but you should also have more of a desire to stay away from foods that are hazardous to you and your new skinnier body.

    So I think the real question here shouldn't be whether or not you can eat what you want when you want to, but rather, If you could eat what you want at anytime you want, would you Really want to?

    Okay maybe that's a dumb question to ask -- I know that most people if they could get away with it they would eat what they want. Here's how I see it, if your Hypothalamus and Metabolism was once broken and then you were luckily able to repair it, isn't it possible that it could malfunction once again.

    Honestly, contrary to what some people would want you to believe, the point of the HCG Diet is not to have you lose weight and eat healthier just to have you go right back to eating all the things that caused you to gain weight in the first place.

    So this means that after the diet ends you should NEVER eat anything that would be considered unhealthy, right?

    No, that's not right. You can still enjoy a slice of pizza or a piece of your favorite dessert every once in a while, you just need to be mindful of how often you are doing it. And when you do partake in something that you wouldn't consider to be an everyday food, just make sure that you don't go too overboard - And one of the most important things to remember is that you want to practice good portion control; especially with the "not so healthy foods".

    But it's not limited to just food and treats, you should also be very aware of what you are drinking too. Some people, myself included, have a tough time saying no to soda as well as those ever so delicious energy drinks like Red Bull. I think that it is actually much easier to get carried away with drinks, simply because you are drinking your calories not eating them.

    And not only will need to pay very close attention to what you eat and drink after the diet, but you will also have to monitor how often. Because in the end that could determine whether or not you keep the weight off.

    How To Start The New Year Right

  • What Do You Plan On Doing Different This Year?

    New Year 2014It's 2014, a new year, and a great time for a fresh new start.

    And with the new year comes the annual tradition of making New Years Resolutions - Some people will commit to one main goal, while others try to tackle an entire list.

    Some of the most common resolutions people make are:

    Eat healthier.
    Go to the gym more.
    Be a better person.
    Quit smoking.
    Save more money.
    Drink less.
    Help the less fortunate.
    Learn to play an instrument.
    Be more punctual.

    Then of coarse there's the most popular New Year's Resolution of all ... To Lose Weight.

    And while I think that most people make their resolutions with good intentions, a large majority of them will fail to see their resolution through all the way to the end.

    However, I don't think it's because they don't want to - I think it's because they weren't specific enough when they made the resolution in the first place.

    For example, instead of making the resolution to save more money, you might make the resolution to save $100 out of each check in a separate account.

    Or rather than just saying that you want to lose weight, you could say that you want to lose 25 pounds with the HCG Diet.

    This does 2 things:

    1. It specifies the exact amount of weight for you to work toward.

    2. It gives you a specific program that you will use for reaching your goal.

    Now if this is your first time around with the HCG Diet and you don't really know where to begin, let me help you out...

    Getting started with your HCG Weight Loss Resolution: The 12 Step Program

    1. Pick A Date And Write It Down - Mark your starting date on the calender where you will see it everyday - This will help to get you mentally prepared for the diet. 

    2. Spread The Word - Tell friends and family that you are going to do the HCG Diet. Be sure to tell them when you plan on starting. This way it will be harder for you to back out. 

    3. Read The HCG Protocol - You should read Dr. Simeons original HCG Diet Protocol. Make sure you read it front to back. Read it twice if you have to. 

    4. Order Your HCG - It's best to be under a doctors care while on the HCG Diet. But these days not everyone has that luxury. So if you are getting your HCG online, make sure to order it now. It could take a couple of weeks to arrive. 

    5. Colon Cleanse - This one is optional, but using a colon cleanse is highly recommended. 

    6. Take Photo's - Taking before pictures of your body is always a good idea. They may be hard to look at in the beginning, but after the diet you'll be glad that you took them. 

    7. Measure Yourself - Get measurements of your waist, arms and your legs. The HCG Diet is not only about dropping pounds, it's also about losing inches. 

    8. Weigh Yourself - This is something that most overweight people refuse to do - But it's something that you must do everyday on the HCG Diet. Plus you need a starting point so that you will know how much you have lost. 

    9. Start A Journal - You will want to get yourself an HCG Diet Journal. This is good for tracking your weight, or just writing down how you feel. Also, if you hit a plateau you can go back and see if it's something you've done.

    10. Clean Out Your Fridge - Start going through your refrigerator and throw out any of the foods that might tempt you while on the HCG 500 Calorie Diet.

    11. Go Shopping - Stock up on bottled water, lean meats, vegetables, fruit and all of the other foods on the 500 Calorie Diet List.

    12. Plan Out Your Meals - After reading the protocol you'll find that you can't always eat the same thing. It's important that you never eat the same thing twice in one day. So you might want to weigh out and cut up your portions and freeze them before the diet starts. This way you will always have something different on hand for every meal.

    The Best Way To Do The HCG Diet

    Now I wish I could tell you that all HCG Protocols were the same, and that the higher calorie plans are just as effective for weight loss as the lower calorie diets -- But the fact is, all HCG Diet Protocols were not created equal.

    So How Many Ways Are There To Do The HCG Diet?

    There are actually a total of 6 Different HCG Protocols. And while there may be talk of other HCG Diet Plans, these five are really the only ones worth mentioning.

    The Six Main HCG Diet Protocols:

    1. You of coarse have the original 500 Calorie Protocol. The 500 Calorie HCG Diet Menu is the one that started the whole HCG Diet craze. In fact, this protocol is the truly the one that all other protocols are based upon.

    2. Then there is the 750 Calorie Protocol. This is the next step up from doing the 500 Calorie Diet, but it is rarely used.

    3. Aside from the original diet plan, one of the more popular protocols for the HCG Diet is the 800 Calorie Plan.

    4. There's also the less heard of 900 Calorie Diet Menu.

    5. Then we have the 1200 Calorie HCG Diet Protocol, which is widely used with the Homeopathic HCG Drops. And Honestly, I think that the reason that the Homeopathic HCG Companies give their patients more than double the amount of calories than the original protocol calls for, is because they know that their product contains no HCG. And doing the HCG 500 Calorie Diet Program without the use of the HCG Hormone is simply way too dangerous.

    6. There is even an HCG Protocol out there for vegetarians as well.

    And while the protocols listed above all have a different caloric intake, for the most part the foods listed on their menus are pretty much the same. Basically you are just eating larger portions and more protein.

    Of coarse with each one of these different diet protocols, you also have a variety of ways to administer the HCG Hormone. You have the traditional HCG Shots, Drops as well as the HCG Pellets.

    As for Homeopathic HCG, I don't ever really recommend using it. But if for some reason you have your mind set on doing the HCG Diet with HHCG, then I would suggest that you use the 1200 Calorie Protocol; anything less could be extremely dangerous.

    Is The HCG Diet Dead?

    The EndBack in 2008 the HCG Diet experienced a huge spike in popularity, mainly thanks to Kevin Trudeau's book, "The Weight Loss Cure "THEY" Don't Want You To Know About".

    And although Kevin's book was responsible for resurrecting the diet, he was not the creator of the original weight loss system. That title actually goes to Dr. ATW Simeons who came up with the idea for the HCG Diet back in the early 1960's.

    However, back then the idea for using HCG to lose weight, although it was genius, I think that it was simply ahead of its time.

    But with obesity being at an all time high in the United States and in other places around the world, this is definitely the right time for the diet.

    Even so, I think that a lot of people who hear about the HCG Diet, even these days, don't understand how the HCG Hormone is responsible for helping people to lose weight. The way it works is The HCG Hormone mobilizes the abnormal fat that is stored in your body and makes it available for use as energy. While burning this stored energy, your body’s energy level increases and at the same time it helps your appetite decrease.

    With such an innovative diet at our disposal, you'd think that the world would embrace it and that it would be around forever. But is it possible that the HCG Diet is going away?

    Although the diet has been largely embraced by all parts of the world, it does seem that it has lost a lot of its momentum that it had originally gained back in 2008 when Kevin Trudeau's book was released.

    After a bit of research, I've estimated that there's approximately about 1/3 less HCG Dieters in 2013 compared to the last 5 years.

    Does This Mean That Because the Number of HCG Diet Users Is Getting Smaller - The Diet Is On Its Way To Becoming History?

    With the large amount of people that have already been introduced to the diet, I personally don't think that the diet will ever fully go away. After all, it has survived since Dr. Simeons created it back in the early 60's.

    Even though there are not nearly as many users as there once was, we still have many HCG Dieters beginning their HCG Diet Journey all over the world today. And there are still many HCG Clinics popping up all throughout the U.S. every year.

    So hopefully we can get people to better realize that this weight loss diet can and will help make the whole world a skinnier place to live.

      Most of us feel a little guilty over the amount of food that we eat during the Holidays, but not this year. Imagine using Thanksgiving or Christmas as your Load Days - You could eat as much as you want, of what you want; and you would know that the amount of food you are eating is not only okay, but that it's also going to help you to lose weight consistently throughout the coarse of the diet.

    2. Learning Self Control:

      If you were to start the HCG Diet around the Thanksgiving Holiday, by Christmas you should be about ready to wrap it up, or possibly in the first couple weeks of Phase 3. So this gives you a chance to practice restraint, proper portion sizes and your self control.

    3. To Get A Jump On Your New Years Resolution:

      You already know that all of your friend's will be making a New Years Resolution to lose that extra 15 to 20 pounds - It's no secret that statistically weight loss is the most widely used Resolutions for the New Year. Well by starting the HCG Diet during the Holiday Season you will be 1 giant step ahead of the group. Then naturally everyone will take notice of how great you look, and they will want to know exactly how you did it. You will then be able to use your new found knowledge of the HCG Weight Loss System to help your friends and family get their weight under control.

    Ultimately, it is your choice when you begin your HCG Diet Journey. Obviously there are benefits no matter what time of year you start. But if you are like most people, you cover up during the winter and wear less during the summer - So if you were to begin the HCG Diet during the holidays, this means that by the time summer rolls around, and the amount of cloths you wear becomes less and less, you will likely be at your target weight; or close to it.

    Plus, by starting the diet around the holiday season, you will have plenty of time do do multiple rounds if you are unable to hit your target weight the first time. However, you still need to be sure to wait the correct amount of time in between your HCG Diet Rounds.

    Nevertheless, no matter when you decide to begin the HCG Diet you will no doubt experience extreme weight loss if you just put in a little bit of effort.
