Time to make some HCG Diet Shredded Chicken Lettuce Wraps!
For me one of the hardest parts of making it through Phase 2 of the HCG Diet Plan was coming up with new and creative ways to prepare my food.
However, sometimes I would come across a recipe that would make me forget that I was dieting altogether.
One delicious recipe that I found myself cooking up time and time again is these Phase 2 Approved Shredded Chicken Lettuce Wraps.
Here's how it's done...
HCG Diet Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients:
100 grams - Chicken Breast (Cooked and Shredded)
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon - Onion Powder
1/2 clove - Garlic
1/8 teaspoon - Oregano
1 pinch - Cayenne Pepper
1 pinch - Cumin
A bit of Cilantro (Finely Chopped)
Iceberg Lettuce Leaves
1/2 clove - Garlic
1/8 teaspoon - Oregano

Cooking your chicken:
In a medium size cooking pot cover chicken breasts with cold water.
Bring water to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Use a thermometer to check when chicken is done. (165 degrees F)
Shredding your chicken:
Remove chicken from pan and place in a medium size mixing bowl. (Getting rid of any leftover water and juices from pan). Let chicken cool for about 3 to 5 minutes, then with 2 forks shred your chicken.
Preparing your chicken:
Place your 100 grams of your cooked shredded chicken back in the pan.
Add water and bring to simmer.
Then add in all of your spices and simmer for approximately 10 minutes.
Creating your wrap:
Using large pieces of iceberg lettuce, place your shredded chicken in the center of the leaf, fold up and enjoy.
Serving tip: To add a little bit more flavor, try drizzling a bit of HCG Cucumber Dressing inside of your wrap!
