One study, where volunteers received Strawberry Mousse on both a white and black plate, the participants said that the Mousse on the white plate was much sweeter and more enjoyable than the dessert on the black plate.
And a Boston University study found that eating from a red plate could have you eating 25% more calories.
So what color of plate should you be eating from?
Studies have shown that serving your more colorful foods on a white plate will help you to eat much smaller portions.
But keep in mind that the size of the plate can make a big difference too.
For instance, a normal size serving on a smaller plate will seem like you are eating more because it looks like a bigger portion - Which in turn may trick your brain into thinking you are full.
