Using the HCG Diet to Lose 3 to 5 Pounds

Yesterday, I had mentioned that I would be writing 1 post per week to answer a question from one of my blog readers. Well today I wanted to write a post to answer an email question that I had recently received.

In her email Cindi writes...

I have a question about the hCG Diet. If one only has 3 to 5 pounds to lose, can the diet be stopped prior to the 23 doses of medication, as long as the diet is followed for the three days after dose of medication?

For those of you that are not that familiar with the HCG Diet Protocol, what Cindi is referring to is... You must remain on 500 Calorie Diet for 3 days after stopping the HCG Hormone Injections.

This is one of those questions that I think a lot of people probably wonder about; so I thought this would be a great question to answer in a post for everyone to read.
This was my response to Cindi's question...

You could start the HCG Diet and then stop after losing the 3 to 5 pounds, however it's not recommended. You see, the HCG Diet is basically meant to fix your bodies metabolism so that you can lose weight and keep it off.

Although the HCG will do it's job and help you to lose the weight, if you do the diet for less than the minimum 23 injection days, your body doesn't have time to retrain your metabolism, so you will likely put the weight right back on.

The same thing happens after you stop any other diet out there, once a diet helps you to lose weight you stop using it and that's when the weight comes right back. This is because the actual problem hasn't been fixed. It's like a temporary solution to a permanent problem.
The HCG Diet, if done correctly, can help you fix the problem for good.

This is a great question Cindi, so I thank you for asking it.

Have you ever tried doing the HCG Diet for less than the 23 injections?

If you don't know everything there is to know about Phase 2 of the HCG Diet, you need to keep reading... In my last post I gave you Phase 1 of the HCG Diet . And like I told you yesterday, the 1st phase of the diet is highly recommended. So if you haven't done it yet, make sure this is something that you at least consider before starting the 500 Calorie Diet. Now I am sure I don't have to tell you that Phase 2 is the most important part of the HCG Diet when it comes to losing weight. In fact, this is the phase that you will lose all of your weight in. So if you haven't read this part of the protocol, here is Phase 2 in its entirety... Phase 2 of the HCG Diet The entire manuscript that describes this protocol is entitled, Pounds and Inches: A New Approach to Obesity - by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, M.D.   Day One: Take an injection of between 125-200 units of hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin) first thing in the morning.   Drink one-half to one g...

Want To Know More About How To Do An HCG Diet Apple Day? An Apple Day can be very useful when it comes to breaking up a plateau on the HCG Diet. The only trouble is not everyone knows how Apple Days are supposed to be done. So today I thought we answer some of the more common questions that people ask about doing an HCG Diet Apple Day. What are Apple Days used for? For the most part Apple Days are used as a Plateau Breaker . When would I start my Apple Day? An Apple Day should always begin at lunch time and continue for 24 hours until lunch the following day. How many apples can I eat? You are allowed to have a total of six large apples throughout the course of the entire day. Do I have to eat my apples at certain times? No. Basically you can eat your apples whenever you'd like. But I would recommend that you eat an apple in place of each meal. Then in between your normal eating times if you find yourself getting hungry simply have another apple; just ...

PureVia For The HCG Diet

Have you ever used PureVia before? For those of you that haven't heard of PureVia - it's an all natural zero calorie sweetener, that is made from pure Stevia extract. This means that it is also okay to use for the HCG Diet. PureVia is available at most local supermarkets. In fact, at some stores it's even cheaper than Stevia. However, Stevia still seems to have more of a selection when it comes to different flavors. PureVia, as far as I know, just comes in it's natural flavor, which I think is just fine for coffee and tea. So if your not going for any special flavor, I think they are pretty much the same thing. Let me know what you think in a comment... Have you ever tried PureVia before? If you like the HCG Diet 411 Blog - Please share it below and subscribe to my Feed
