Some People That Do The HCG Diet, Think They Can Eat Whatever They Want As Long As It's Not More Than 500 Calories Per Day.
But Are They right?
When you are on the HCG Weight Loss Program, it is crucial that you do not eat more than 500 calories per day. Plus, the foods that you eat on the diet are just as important as the amount of calories.
If you were to drop your fruit and eat an extra Melba Toast instead, you wouldn't be getting more calories, but you might not lose any weight either.
There are a lot of foods, particularly fruits and vegetables, which have the same calories as those that are listed as part of the diet. But some of these foods can actually keep you from losing weight when using the HCG Hormone. Pimiento peppers, artichokes and pears are great examples.
The funny thing about the HCG Diet is it can work differently for a person depending on what part of the world they live in. For instance, the diet might be a little bit different for someone in the USA as it is for someone that lives in Italy.
Why Does Your Geographical Location Matter On The HCG Diet?
One reason is that American beef has almost double the calories than Italian beef; probably because Italian beef is not marbled with fat. This marbling is almost impossible to remove. So in America, a low-grade veal should be used for one meal and fish, chicken breast, lobster, crawfish, prawns or shrimp, crab-meat or kidneys for the other meal.
When local conditions or the eating habits of the population make changes necessary, the total amount of daily calories must still stay at 500, no matter where you are in the world.
A lot of people wonder why eggs were not included on the 500 Calorie Diet Menu. This is because two large eggs are roughly equivalent to 100 grams of meat, and unfortunately the yolk contains a large amount of fat.
However, on occasion it is okay to have an egg or two. But it's not a good idea to make it a regular part of your diet while on this VLCD.
