What Is The Diencephalon

If you have read Dr. Simeons HCG Weight Loss Protocol, you have more than likely heard about the Diencephalon.

So what is the Diencephalon?

The Diencephalon is buried deep down in the human brain. It is a very primitive part of the brain and is almost entirely smothered by large amounts of nervous tissue.

The Diencephalon is the part from which the central nervous system controls all of the automatic functions of our bodies, such as breathing, the heart beat, digestion, sleep, sex, the urinary system, the autonomous or vegetative nervous system. And through the Pituitary Gland it also helps control the whole interplay of the endocrine glands.

Therefor, it makes sense to suppose that the complex operation of storing and distributing fuel to the body, might also be controlled by the Diencephalon. Sugar, which is another form of fuel for our bodies, is believed to be regulated by the Diencephalon too.

It is said that if the Diencephalon is working properly, it can help to better control our appetites and snack attacks. So with the right amount of HCG - along with the right foods, we can retrain this part of our brain.

Have you heard of the
Diencephalon before?

The secound round I craved nuts and this time it's carb's... (the bad ones) not sugar but I want stuff like crackers or chips and I even eat the in my dreams... Not for real but when I do dream of them I do not have a loss as if I ate them for real, what is going on with my brain???
    Thanks,

  4. Hey Danielle,

I think that as we get more comfortable with the diet and how it works, our cravings tend to get stronger for some reason. (just my opinion) But don't worry you are not alone - most of us have cravings for foods that we can't have while on the HCG Diet.

    To answer this question...

"The secound round I craved nuts and this time it's carb's... (the bad ones) not sugar but I want stuff like crackers or chips and I even eat the in my dreams... Not for real but when I do dream of them I do not have a loss as if I ate them for real, what is going on with my brain???"

A big part of the HCG Diet is psychological. I don't know if we can will ourselves to lose weight - but Dr Simeons says that breaking up a Plateau with an apple day is purely psychological. Meaning that, doing an apple day will trick your brain to start losing weight again. So I think that if you can trick your brain into losing weight - Your dreams may trick your brain to stop losing. Make sense? Kind of?

Anyways, that's my take on it, I hope this helps. Make sure to come back often.

    Thanks for the comment Danielle,

Want To Know More About How To Do An HCG Diet Apple Day? An Apple Day can be very useful when it comes to breaking up a plateau on the HCG Diet. The only trouble is not everyone knows how Apple Days are supposed to be done. So today I thought we answer some of the more common questions that people ask about doing an HCG Diet Apple Day. What are Apple Days used for? For the most part Apple Days are used as a Plateau Breaker . When would I start my Apple Day? An Apple Day should always begin at lunch time and continue for 24 hours until lunch the following day. How many apples can I eat? You are allowed to have a total of six large apples throughout the course of the entire day. Do I have to eat my apples at certain times? No. Basically you can eat your apples whenever you'd like. But I would recommend that you eat an apple in place of each meal. Then in between your normal eating times if you find yourself getting hungry simply have another apple; just ...

Cheese On The HCG Diet - Is It Allowed?

Is cheese one of the items on the HCG 500 Calorie Diet Menu? Anyone who has read the HCG Diet Protocol knows that there are a lot of different rules to follow. On top of it all, you have to remember which foods you can and cannot eat. However, what people usually remember more than anything is that list of foods you can have is much smaller than the foods that you can't. Still, it can be quite a task to memorize that list in such a short period of time. I guess this is why people always ask my wife and I which foods are allowed during Phase 2 of the HCG Weight Loss Diet - One of the more common foods we are asked about is cheese. Now I love cheese probably more than the average person, so I can definitely understand why people are hoping and praying that it's listed on the HCG Diet Menu. And this brings us to the question we are here to answer... Can You Have Cheese On The HCG 500 Calorie Diet? I think deep down inside most of you already knew that the answer ...

HCG Diet Phase 1

How Much Do You Really Know About Phase 1 Of The HCG Diet? Today I was reading up on Kevin Trudeau's Weight Loss Protocol, when I came across Phase 1 of the HCG Diet. And as I was reading I thought, this would be a great topic for today's blog post. However I must warn you it's kind of long. Oh who am I kidding, it's very long. So make sure that you set aside a little bit of time to read it. Now while you are reading this article try to remember, Phase 1 is not something that everyone does - But if you do decide to do it you will likely experience greater success during Phase 2. So, even though this part of the diet is not required, it is highly recommended. Here it is right from Kevin Trudeau's HCG Weight Loss Cure Protocol -  Phase 1 of the HCG Diet - Preparation "Although this phase is not required, based on today's conditions, it is highly recommended. This phase consists of a series of dos and don'ts. It may be di...
