15 Things To Do Before Starting The HCG Diet

Do you know what to do before you start the HCG Diet?

Getting yourself prepared for the HCG Diet can mean the difference between success and failure.

This is why it's so important to do everything that you can to be ready to start. Below, is a list that I have put together to help you be better prepared for the HCG Weight Loss Diet.

15 Things To Do Before Starting The HCG Diet

1. Pick A Date And Write It Down - Mark your starting date on the calender where you will see it everyday - This will help to get you mentally prepared for the diet.

2. Spread The Word - Tell friends and family that you are going to do the HCG Diet. Be sure to tell them when you plan on starting. This way it will be harder for you to back out.

3. Read The HCG Protocol - You should read Dr. Simeons original HCG Diet Protocol. Make sure you read it front to back. Read it twice if you have to.

4. Order Your HCG - It's best to be under a doctors care while on the HCG Diet. But these days not everyone has that luxury. So if you are getting your HCG online, make sure to order it now. It could take a couple of weeks to arrive.

5. Colon Cleanse - This one is optional, but using a colon cleanse is highly recommended.

6. Snap Some Photo's - Taking before pictures of your body is always a good idea. They may be hard to look at in the beginning, but after the diet you'll be glad that you took them.

7. Measure Yourself - Get measurements of your waist, arms and your legs. The HCG Diet is not only about dropping pounds, it's also about losing inches.

8. Weigh Yourself - This is something that most overweight people refuse to do. But it's something that you must do everyday on the HCG Diet. Plus you need a starting point so that you will know how much you have lost.

9. Start A Journal - You will want to get yourself an HCG Diet Journal. This is good for tracking your weight, or just writing down how you feel. Also, if you hit a plateau you can go back and see if it's something you've done.

10. Clean Out Your Fridge - Start going through your refrigerator and throw out any of the foods that might tempt you while on the HCG 500 Calorie Diet.

11. Go Shopping - Stock up on... Bottled water, lean meats, vegetables, fruit and all of the other foods that are allowed on the 500 Calorie Diet.

12. Get A Foreman Grill - If you don't have George Foreman Grill, get one. Believe me, after you see how much fat and grease drips off of your food, you'll be glad that you did.

13. Research The Diet - Find out some of the more common mistakes that people have made on the HCG Diet. This way, you'll be more likely to avoid making them yourself.

14. Find Recipes - Get some good recipes for Phase 2 and 3 of the HCG Diet. You can even find a few here on the HCG Diet 411 Blog.

15. Plan Out Your Meals - After reading the protocol, you'll find that you can't always eat the same thing. It's important that you never eat the same thing twice in one day. So you might want to weigh out and cut up your portions before the diet starts. If you do this, just make sure to place them in the freezer.

The better prepared you are, the more success you will have. So make sure to try and do all of the things on the list above. Good luck!

Is there anything else that you would add to the list?

As always, I would love to hear what you think - So please be sure to tell me your thoughts in a comment below.

HCG Diet Phase 2

If you don't know everything there is to know about Phase 2 of the HCG Diet, you need to keep reading... In my last post I gave you Phase 1 of the HCG Diet . And like I told you yesterday, the 1st phase of the diet is highly recommended. So if you haven't done it yet, make sure this is something that you at least consider before starting the 500 Calorie Diet. Now I am sure I don't have to tell you that Phase 2 is the most important part of the HCG Diet when it comes to losing weight. In fact, this is the phase that you will lose all of your weight in. So if you haven't read this part of the protocol, here is Phase 2 in its entirety... Phase 2 of the HCG Diet The entire manuscript that describes this protocol is entitled, Pounds and Inches: A New Approach to Obesity - by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, M.D.   (THIS PHASE MUST BE DONE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A LICENSED HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONER!) Day One: Take an injection of between 125-200 units of h

The Nature Of HCG

The more I learn about the human body and the HCG Hormone, the more it amazes me. Today I wanted to share with you the nature of HCG, or as Dr. Simeons puts it... The Nature of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin "HCG is never found in the human body except during pregnancy and in those rare cases in which a residue of placental tissue continues to grow in the womb in what is known as a chorionic epithelioma. It is never found in the male. The human type of chorionic gonadotrophin is found only during the pregnancy of women and the great apes. It is produced in enormous quantities, so that during certain phases of her pregnancy a woman may excrete as much as one million International Units per day in her urine - enough to render a million infantile rats precociously mature. Other mammals make use of a different hormone, which can be extracted from their blood serum but not from their urine. Their placenta differs in this and other respects from that of man and the grea
