Now if you are anything like my wife Suzy, you're using lemons every single day of the HCG Weight Loss Diet. She uses so many, that every-time you open up the fridge, hundreds of lemon halves fall out and bury you up to your waist.
Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but you get my point - She uses a lot of lemons!
Now don't get me wrong, I like lemons too. Especially because they have such a wide variety of uses; we use them for making lemonade, lemon vanilla slushees, plus we use them on all sorts of different foods that we make.
When you have such a small number of items on your menu, like on this VLCD, anything you can do to spice it up helps.
By now you might be able to tell that lemons are a hot ticket item in our home. So we always love to hear about new ways to use them.
Like the other day for example, Suzy and I was watching the Rachael Ray Talk Show, which we often do, when suddenly she threw out an awesome tip for using lemons. It was a simple tip about how to get more juice out of your lemons. I knew right away that I had to share it with all of you.
The Rachael Ray Lemon Tip:
To get more juice from your lemon: Simply place the entire lemon into your microwave for about 10 or 15 seconds, depending on the power of your microwave.
As you may already know, you are allowed to use the juice from one whole lemon each day that you are on the 500 Calorie Diet. This ensures that you will get the most out of them.
Also, I know that I have said before that microwaves are not good to use before, during, or after the HCG Weight Loss Diet. But our society has become so accustom to using them, that it's almost impossible not to. However, you should still try to limit your microwave use as much as possible.
