Did you fall of the "HCG Diet Wagon" on Thanksgiving?
This is the time of year when people start wishing that they had started the HCG Diet after the holidays. It's not something that you really think too much about when you start, but once they are here, the holidays can start interfering in your weight loss goals.
First you have Halloween... This is tough if you are a sugar lover like myself - You take the kids trick-or-treating, come home, inspect the candy, and if you are strong you don't indulge. But no matter how much will power you have, it's hard to keep your hands out of the candy sack until all of the goodies are gone.
For some HCG Dieters, Halloween is not much of a temptation - The holiday that is however is Thanksgiving. This is the one holiday that is celebrated by eating lots of delicious foods. I always recommend that you use Thanksgiving as a Gorge Day; that is if you can time it correctly. Because, if you are on the HCG Diet during this holiday, you might have a difficult time staying faithful to the 500 Calorie Protocol.
Unfortunately, cheating is a pretty common occurrence for people who are using the diet this time of the year. It's not that they mean to... Most of the time it's just the opposite. They usually plan on sticking to the protocol, but once they get around all of that wonderful food they just can't help themselves.
On the other hand, there are people who actually plan on cheating, but just for Thanksgiving dinner. These people just can't stand the thought of missing out on even one of these holiday meals; so they cheat. But what are you supposed to do after all of that cheating?
Well, hopefully if you did cheat on the 500 Calorie Diet, you kept it to a minimum - If you didn't, or even if you did, here are a couple of ideas to help you out.
What To Do If You Cheated On Thanksgiving
1. Do an Apple Day - This will help psychologically and with your weight loss.
2. Drink more water - You should already be drinking anywhere from 1/2 to 1 whole gallon of water everyday, now just increase that amount to about 1 1/2 gallons per day (4-6 quarts).
3. Stop cheating - If you cheated once, it becomes easier to do it again and again. So be strong and make sure that you don't do it again.
4. Forget it - The important thing to do after you cheat is to forgive yourself, then forget about it. Getting yourself all worried and stressed out about it will only make things worse.
If you made the mistake of cheating on Thanksgiving, I'm sure you're not alone. Just get over it and move on. If you don't, it could effect all of your weight loss to come.
