Cheese On The HCG Diet - Is It Allowed?

Is cheese one of the items on the HCG 500 Calorie Diet Menu?

Cheese Wedge
Anyone who has read the HCG Diet Protocol knows that there are a lot of different rules to follow. On top of it all, you have to remember which foods you can and cannot eat.

However, what people usually remember more than anything is that list of foods you can have is much smaller than the foods that you can't. Still, it can be quite a task to memorize that list in such a short period of time.

I guess this is why people always ask my wife and I which foods are allowed during Phase 2 of the HCG Weight Loss Diet - One of the more common foods we are asked about is cheese.

Now I love cheese probably more than the average person, so I can definitely understand why people are hoping and praying that it's listed on the HCG Diet Menu.

And this brings us to the question we are here to answer...

Can You Have Cheese On The HCG 500 Calorie Diet?

I think deep down inside most of you already knew that the answer to this question was going to be... No! You should not eat cheese while during Phase 2 of the HCG Diet.

However, there is one exception to this rule. If you have an interruption in your HCG Injections, drops, or pellets which lasts more than 4 days, you would then increase your diet from 500 to 800 calories per day by adding meat, eggs, cheese, and milk. But this is the only time that you would want to eat cheese during the 2nd Phase of the HCG Diet.

I know this is not what you were hoping to hear - I was quite disappointed myself when I first found out. But truth be told, most of the cheeses out there are very fattening, and eating it doesn't really help with the constipation that you experience on this diet either.

So to answer the question...

Can you eat cheese during Phase 2 of the HCG Weight Loss Diet?

No, you cannot!

PureVia For The HCG Diet

Have you ever used PureVia before? For those of you that haven't heard of PureVia - it's an all natural zero calorie sweetener, that is made from pure Stevia extract. This means that it is also okay to use for the HCG Diet. PureVia is available at most local supermarkets. In fact, at some stores it's even cheaper than Stevia. However, Stevia still seems to have more of a selection when it comes to different flavors. PureVia, as far as I know, just comes in it's natural flavor, which I think is just fine for coffee and tea. So if your not going for any special flavor, I think they are pretty much the same thing. Let me know what you think in a comment... Have you ever tried PureVia before? If you like the HCG Diet 411 Blog - Please share it below and subscribe to my Feed
