Do You Tend Believe Things That You Read In A Magazine?
Whether it's my children, friends, or my in-laws, they all know that I blog about the HCG Weight Loss Diet. That means when they have questions, concerns, or they just hear something weird about the diet, they all have a tendency to talk to me about it.
So it came as no surprise to me when my mother in law showed me an article that she had clipped out of a magazine...
A Shot Of Willpower?
This was the title of the article that she had saved for me to read. In the article they start by talking about the recent popularity of the diet and how it came about.
They then go on to give a brief description of how the diet works - However, they leave out many crucial parts.
And as they always do in these types of articles, they talk about how there is no actual proof that using the HCG Hormone will help promote weight loss. But why do they think the diet has gotten so popular... Obviously it must be working.
Well, they say it's just a strong placebo effect - Now I can see them maybe saying that with Homeopathic HCG, but with Pharmaceutical HCG it is so much more than that.
In these blind placebo studies that they do, only some of the people succeed. But out of the many people who use the HCG Diet correctly, almost all of them succeed in losing a ton of weight. To me, that is irrefutable evidence that the diet works.
This article also quotes one Dr. Katz as saying "You will part both with money and pounds, but you may also part with your life" in reference to the HCG Weight Loss Plan.
How come I have never heard of anyone dying from using the HCG Diet?
In fact, I hear of people losing weight, becoming healthier and lowering their risk of a premature death - To me, these are all positive things, not proof that the diet is dangerous.
So I say, don't believe everything that you read. Because if you ask me, actions speak louder than words - Especially if those words are coming from people who have never even used the diet.
