HCG Apple Cinnamon Chips

If you came across my post on Thursday, then you most likely read about my thoughts on using a food dehydrator with the HCG Diet.

Personally, I think it is a great idea - Not only are you able to eat healthier with one of these machines, but it also opens up the door to a whole new way of preparing your food.

Well, if you have decided to take my advice and use a food dehydrator on the HCG Diet, I have a great snack idea for you to try out - They're called HCG Apple Cinnamon Chips, and they couldn't be more easy to make. This is how it's done...

HCG Apple Cinnamon Chips

Here's what you'll need...

  • Apples
  • Cinnamon
  • Stevia

Directions:

  1. Wash Apples.
  2. Remove skins. (Optional)
  3. Cut out any bruises or soft parts.
  4. Slice Apples so they are about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Using a food dehydrator, arrange apple slices on trays so they are close but not touching.
  6. Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon and Stevia on the Apple slices.
  7. Turn your food dehydrator on to about 140 degrees.
  8. Let them dehydrate for about 12 - 24 hours (Monitor closely so you will have more of an idea of the approx. time for future reference)
  9. Take out and let cool.

That's it - Now you have a nice crispy treat on hand.

Note: If you don't have a food dehydrator, but you would still like to make these tasty HCG Apple Cinnamon Chips, you can also do it using your oven. Here's how...

HCG Apple Cinnamon Chips (In an oven)

  1. Wash Apples.
  2. Remove skins. (Optional)
  3. Cut out any bruises or soft parts.
  4. Slice Apples so they are about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. On a cake rack or screen (If you want, you can use a cookie sheet) arrange apple slices on trays so they are close but not touching.
  6. Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon and Stevia on the Apple slices.
  7. Turn oven on to 150 and bake for about 12 - 20 hours.
  8. Take out and let cool.
