When You See A Good Conversation On Facebook Or Twitter, Do You Get Involved?
The other day I was on Facebook when I just happened upon a picture that one of my HCG Friends had posted.
Along with this picture she had a story to tell about how she was going to the gym one day, and at the entrance of the gym there was a picture of a thin beautiful woman with a caption that read...
"This summer do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?"
She goes on to tell a great story after that. But the conversation that followed this Facebook post is the part that I thought was great. In fact, it has already received over 225,000 likes.
Still, I think that it is so messed up for people to have to see pictures of skinny models with stupid headlines like the one above.
Nobody wants to be overweight, but once you are, it's not that easy to get into shape. Especially with the stigma that society puts on overweight people.
Personally I didn't struggle with weight at all until my late twenties when I gained some extra pounds. But my mom on the other hand has been overweight for as long as I can remember. However, I have always thought my mom to be a very beautiful woman.
So it angers me to see our society and the media act like skinny models are what normal women should aspire to look like. Especially because most of those models have to starve themselves to look the way they do. On top of that, a large number of them have eating disorders.
For me to find a woman attractive, she has to have a little meat on her. A woman that looks like her bones would shatter if she fell down, is not something that I find particularly sexy!
So remember this, while you are doing the HCG Diet try to keep in mind what beauty is to you. Because in the end, that's what you should aspire to look like, not some girl in a magazine!
