Does HCG Diet Lingo Sound Like A Foreign Language To You?

If you've ever heard people talk about the HCG Diet, had a conversation via Facebook, on Twitter or in an HCG Forum, and found yourself feeling lost because of the terms and Phrases being thrown around, don't worry you're not alone.

Actually to be honest, when I first started using HCG I would hear people using certain terminology in reference to the HCG Diet, and I would have to ask my wife what the heck they were talking about.

However, if it wasn't for my inquisitive nature in relation to this diet, we probably wouldn't have this wonderful HCG Blog that you see today.

But before I get too carried away about how great I am, let's talk about a few of the more common HCG Phrases and the definitions behind them.

3 Common HCG Phrases And What They Mean:

Fat Release: The term Fat Release is referring to the HCG Hormone causing the stored fat in your body to be released - This in turn is why you lose so much weight. Simply put, after the fat is released, your body can then burn it in place of the calories that you would normally eat during a regular day. This is also the reason that your body does not go into starvation mode when using the HCG Hormone. Without the hormone, your body tries to hoard the small amount of calories that are consuming in order to keep you alive - It would then resort to burning muscle mass. This is why HCG is such an important part of the diet.

Plateau: When you hear someone talking about a Plateau on the HCG Diet, they are not usually talking about an elevated level part of the land. Actually a diet Plateau, is when you have been consistently losing weight, usually on a daily basis, then it abruptly stops for 2 or more days. The good news is that you can almost always get yourself losing weight and back on track with an Apple Day or one of the other many Plateau Breakers.

VLCD: Now this is one phrase that is very commonly used by HCG Diet users. Actually, VLCD are simply initials that stand for Very Low Calorie Diet. VLCD is used in reference to the 500 Calorie Diet.

Hopefully now you won't feel lost when you hear people using these phrases to talk about the HCG Diet.
