There are actually quite a few different foods that you would think belong on the HCG Diet Menu, but their not.

I'm sure that years ago when Dr. Simeons created the HCG Diet Protocol he had very good reasons for not including certain foods on the menu -- But times have changed, we know a lot more about food now than we did back then.

Personally, I think there are some foods that should be re-evaluated to see if they would work with the HCG Diet Plan, and Ground Turkey is definitely one of them.

In fact, I have touched on this topic a few times before in our HCG Forum, and it still seems to be a pretty common topic for discussion.

And if you want to know the absolute truth, throughout mine and Suzy's HCG Diet Journey, there have been a few different things that we have tried that weren't exactly on the list of HCG Diet Approved Foods. One of the things we tested out was Ground Turkey.

What we found was that it worked just fine with the diet plan; we had no troubles whatsoever. In fact, we also found that we weren't the only ones that felt it was okay to use Ground Turkey on the HCG Diet. There are actually a lot of HCG Phase 2 Recipes out there that call for Ground Turkey to be used as the protein. Now don't get me wrong, I don't recommend that everyone go out and see if they can get away with adding just anything they want to the diet to see if they can get away with it. We only did it with certain foods that we thought made sense and that it wouldn't disrupt our diet.

So Can You Eat Ground Turkey On The HCG Diet?

Well, Ground Turkey is not officially listed as an HCG Diet Food. But, like I said above, I think this is one food that should be reconsidered.

However, if you are like me and you like to live life on the edge, then yes, you can eat Ground Turkey on the HCG Diet. I really don't think that you will run into any issues with your weight loss. But just to be on the safe side, I wouldn't suggest eat it all of the time.

On the other hand, if you want to follow the Original HCG Protocol to the letter, which for the most part you should, or if you disagree with everything that I have just said, then NO you should NOT eat Ground Turkey while on the HCG Diet.

Another thing to remember is that there are a lot of different HCG Diet Protocols out there these days. So depending on which one you follow, you may already be eating Ground Turkey. If that is the case, eat it as much as your protocol allows.

Let's Review What We've Just Learned:

Ground Turkey is not an HCG Approved Food.
Ground Turkey is delicious and works well in HCG Recipes.
Suzy and I are a couple of rebels.
Ground Turkey should be reconsidered as a possible HCG Diet Food.
Eat it if you dare, but just make sure it's not an everyday thing.
If you don't agree with me, then DON'T eat Ground Turkey.
