Bowel Movements On The HCG Diet

Is it normal to become constipated on the HCG Diet?

Toilet, Bowel MovementsWhile on the HCG 500 Calorie Diet and Hormone Injections, HCG Drops or HCG Pills, you may have noticed that your bowel movements are starting to become very few and far between.

Unfortunately, constipation is one of the few side effects of the HCG Diet.

The good news is that you are not alone. In fact, around 80% of all HCG Diet users experience this problem.

Fortunately, there is something that you can do about it. So if it seems that you too are having a lot less bowel movements since you started the HCG Diet, read the information below to see what you can do about it.

What To Do About Constipation On The HCG Diet:

If constipation has become more of a problem since starting the HCG Diet, you can keep it from happening so often by drinking more water.

The HCG Weight Loss Protocol says that you should be drinking at least 2 Liters of water per day. However, if you can drink closer to 1 gallon of water everyday, you will find yourself a lot less constipated.

The more water the better!

Drinking Water For Constipation on HCG DietAnother interesting fact: Increasing your water intake will not only help with constipation on the HCG Diet, but the amount of water that you drink can also work as a great Plateau Breaker - It could possibly even help to speed up your rate of weight loss as well.

Hopefully this tip can help all of you remain a little more regular while using the HCG Hormone.

  3. Is Metamucil (or a store brand) ok during injection phase? I'm guessing not, otherwise somebody would probably already have mentioned it.

  4. Unfortunately, I don't believe that Metamucil should be used. However, you can drink a daily glass of water with a spoonful of psyllium - Which is the active ingredient found in Metamucil.

Or you could use Smooth Move Tea, Magnesium or simply drink more water.

I hope this helps you out,

  5. I'm looking at starting the hcg injections weight loss program and I'm thinking 23 or 43 day program. But what I dont know is if the pre-mixed 5000 I.U. works as well as the mix your self kind...what's the diff. besides the cost and if I ordered it as a 43 day plan usint two vials of 5000 would the second batch still be good to use after 30 days.

  6. @ Anonymous,

I don't think that premixed is as good as mixing it yourself...

And if you can hold off mixing the second batch until it's needed that would be best. But if you can't, it should be fine as long as you keep it cold the whole time.

I think the best place to get your 5000 IU of HCG is here. and you can get your 43 day mixing kit here.

They have great prices and I order from them so I know that they are reliable.

    Good luck and take care,

  9. oh my! today is my VLCD Day 6 and i finally had a bowel movement!!! So relieved now! Day 4 I started to drink Smooth Move Tea by Traditional Medicines before bedtime. Day 5, I did the same thing...but nothing but gas. Today, tons and tons of water this morning/afternoon, a salad with a whole lot of greens and another cup of Smooth Move Tea and things finally started to move again! So, I'm thinking I just wasn't drinking enough water.

  10. hi brian, thank you for the site, i've shared it with friends already. i purchased 2 vials of 5000 iu.
i mixed up the first with the intention of only doing one round the 23 day, take a break, then do the other later.
i didn't think i would be able to make a full 40 days on the diet.
but, it's much easier than i thought it would be and i'm averaging a pound a day weight loss.
can i continue with the 2nd bottle after the 23rd day or should i take a break?
    thanks again!

  11. hi i just posted about the 2nd bottle, i think i found the answer in the How long to wait between rounds.
one of the readers asked the same question and you answered he could go straight into the full 40 days, i'm hoping that means i could immediately use another bottle of 5000?

but i got confused because at the top of the blog, it says wait 3 weeks between round 1 & 2 because you could develop an immunity to the hormone.

when you say to wait 3 weeks between round 1 & 2, is that meaning that a round is all the phases (the cleanse, the hcg, the maintenance?)

thanks for all of your time!

  13. In my practice, we recommend waiting 6 weeks minimum between rounds as to not develop a tolerance to the HCG. This would mean 3 weeks of stabilization and then 3 weeks of maintaining your weight on the maintenance phase.

  17. Hey all... I'm on phase 2 of the hCG. I've lost 9.5 lbs so far in 7 days. I've kept the steps to the letter without any deviations. I am curious though... how much green salad is the limit. I eat about 4 cups of lettuce with my 100 grams of protein. Also, can I eat my 200 grams of protein for dinner, and eat my fruits and snacks during the day? I wonder if that would change anything. Thank you!

  18. I have been on the HCG diet (injections) for 8 days and lost 5lbs, but for the last 3 days I have been going back and forth between a wt loss of 1.5lbs to wt gain 1.5lbs. I was dealing with constipation but the Smooth Move helped today. Is this why I have this problem or is it something else. I have not cheated at all and drinking enough water to float. HELP

Cheese On The HCG Diet - Is It Allowed?

Is cheese one of the items on the HCG 500 Calorie Diet Menu? Anyone who has read the HCG Diet Protocol knows that there are a lot of different rules to follow. On top of it all, you have to remember which foods you can and cannot eat. However, what people usually remember more than anything is that list of foods you can have is much smaller than the foods that you can't. Still, it can be quite a task to memorize that list in such a short period of time. I guess this is why people always ask my wife and I which foods are allowed during Phase 2 of the HCG Weight Loss Diet - One of the more common foods we are asked about is cheese. Now I love cheese probably more than the average person, so I can definitely understand why people are hoping and praying that it's listed on the HCG Diet Menu. And this brings us to the question we are here to answer... Can You Have Cheese On The HCG 500 Calorie Diet? I think deep down inside most of you already knew that the answer ...

How The Hypothalamus Works

What the Hypothalamus Gland does and why it's so important to fix it... The Hypothalamus Gland is located directly below the Thalamus which is at the center of the brain. It controls many automatic functions of the human body. So this means that it can tell the autonomic nervous system what to do. The Hypothalamus also controls pituitary output by distributing certain chemicals to the pituitary's frontal lobe. To put it more simply, the Hypothalamus Gland organizes and controls many complex emotions, feelings and moods. It also controls all motivational states including hunger, appetite and food intake, and everything to do with the concept of pleasure including satisfaction, comfort and creative activities. The neurons in the Hypothalamus produce a number of Hypothalamic Neurotransmitters which relay information and instruction to all parts of the brain and body, directly influencing the Pituitary Gland. This is where the Growth Hormone, Thyroid Hormone Releasi...

HCG Diet Dangers

HCG Diet Dangers - Are there any? And if so, what are they? So what are the dangers associate with the HCG Diet? If you were to Google the term " HCG Diet Dangers ", you would get a bunch of sites trying to sell you something related to the HCG Diet. A lot of the websites that you will run into trying to find the answer to this question, are nothing more than marketers using fear tactics to get you to buy their product. So try not to get pulled in by this sort of thing. The truth is there are some HCG Diet Dangers, but they're probably not as bad as you think. In fact, some of them are human errors that make this method of weight loss the most dangerous. I'm talking about things like getting an infection from not cleaning your syringe. While getting an infection from a syringe is a danger that is associated with the HCG Diet, it is a mistake that a human makes that causes it. Therefore, the danger can be eliminated if you can only remember to use alcohol pads...
