HCG Diet Lasagna - Phase 3

I know that some people, Phase 3 can be a little bit scary. You worry that you are going to eat the wrong things and start gaining all your weight back.

The important thing is that you stick to the Protocol and find good recipes that you know will be okay to eat.

So when I came across this recipe for Lasagna, I knew that I just had to post it.

HCG Diet Lasagna - Phase 3

Here's what you'll need...
  • 1 Bottle - Spaghetti Sauce (Have a 2nd bottle on hand just in-case) 
  • 16 ounces - Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups - Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves of garlic - Minced 
  • 2 teaspoons - Basil 
  • 2 cups - Mozzarella Cheese - Grated
  • 1/2 pound - Lean Ground Beef 
  • 1/2 pound - Ground Italian Sausage 
  • A Bunch of Zucchini cut into long slices about 1/8 inch thick 
  • 1 Dash - Salt 
  • 1 Dash - Pepper
Preparation:
  • Mix the ricotta, Parmesan Cheese, Eggs, Garlic, Basil, Salt and Pepper all together.
     
  • In a Frying Pan, brown the Italian Sausage and Beef - draining any extra fat.
     
  • Mix with the spaghetti sauce.

Directions: 
  • Starting with Zucchini on the bottom - Make a couple layers of Zucchini, Meat Sauce, Ricotta Cheese Mixture and top it with a thick layer of grated Mozzarella.
     
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes to an hour - until the Zucchini is nice and tender.

Is cheese one of the items on the HCG 500 Calorie Diet Menu? Anyone who has read the HCG Diet Protocol knows that there are a lot of different rules to follow.
